CS-Cart 2.0.5 is out!
A new version of CS-Cart has come out! It contains a number of improvements, new features, bug fixes and functionality changes. Some of them, such as the updated Google Base addon and new skins, are worth special mention.
Three new skins have been created for CS-Cart 2.0.5 and a lot more integrated from previous versions. A wide choice of colors and thematic designs available now will meet even the most demanding requirements.
Another change is the update of Google Base attribute list. As the Condition attribute became required starting on June 30, 2009, it is now included in CS-Cart feeds.

CS-Cart 2.0 is released!
The CS-Cart team is proud to announce that the final version of CS-Cart 2.0 is available now. The result of nearly a year of work, this release signals a new stage for CS-Cart shopping cart software.
Version 2.0 is a significant stride towards overall flexibility and usability. Preserving the functional approach to programming, the architecture of the software has been completely improved for developers to enhance its functionality. Now it is possible to customize the software without any (or with minimum) modification in the source code.
CS-Cart 2.0 comes with a brand new design and a set of extra skins. A number of exciting features (such as layout block manager, design mode, web-based upgrade center, product filters and others) are introduced in this release. For the complete list of changes and improvements, please refer to the changelog.
The CS-Cart team thanks you all for active participation in testing beta versions since your feedback helped us to reach the point of stability much earlier. We believe this profound shift in our concept will be appreciated by you, as all of this has been done to make your ecommerce more efficient and lucrative.

CS-Cart 2.0 RC is out!
We are well on our way to releasing CS-Cart 2.0 and after four months of intensive testing, we now have our first Release Candidate. The RC fixes a slew of bugs and introduces several improvements (see changelog.txt).

CS-Cart support services update
We would like to announce the following changes to our support services:
1. Implementation of a new type of technical support - issue based support
2. Change to the price of support periods
Now along with support periods, technical support credits are available for CS-Cart users. This type of technical support is based on assessment of the complexity of a request by our support engineers. They assess the work required to resolve the issue and depending on such an assessment credits are used up from a user's account.
The price of support periods is changed. Now it also depends on the number of licenses you have.

CS-Cart 2.0 Beta 3 is released
Beta 3 includes various bug fixes as well as several improvements, the main of which is activation of Upgrade Center allowing to upgrade the installed CS-Cart up to the latest version via the web-interface.
Starting from CS-Cart 2.0 Beta 3, Upgrade Center will automatically receive information about all available updates from our server and display a notification for the administrator.
Installation of the updates is carried out on the Upgrade Center page in the CS-Cart admin panel. If access permissions do not allow to update some files, the system will prompt to enter FTP access details (they are not passed to our server).
All the original files, replaced during the upgrade, are saved in a special folder. Also it is possible to cancel the changes one by one and return to previous versions.
We hope that the new upgrade system will considerably simplify your store upgrade and make CS-Cart experience more user-friendly.

Release of CS-Cart 2.0 Beta 2
We would like to announce the release of CS-Cart 2.0 Beta 2. As compared to beta 1, this version has the following major changes and improvements:
- MySQLi database access wrapper: problems with session saving were resolved.
- Promotions: ability to set conditions using product features is added.
- Promotions: free shipping applies to selected shipping method now.
- Promotions: quantity and options can be set for free products now.
- Directories restructurization: the "include" directory renamed to "controllers", prefixes added to script in the "core" directory.
- Open/close store link added to bottom panel in administrative area.
- Image previewer was redesigned in customer area.
- Automatic upgrade center is added (but disabled in beta).
- Form validator messages became more user-friendly, extended and improved.
- The "Shipping address the same as billing" check box replaced with "Ship to different address", logic also changed.
- Credit card validation script replaced with a new one and became part of default form fields validation.
- New field types added to the "Profile fields" page: "zip/postal code" and "phone".
Also, a number of bug fixes were applied to CS-Cart 2.0 Beta 2.

CS-Cart support services improvement
We would like to announce that, beginning JanuaryThis new type of technical support involves assessment of the complexity of a request. And depending on the amount of work required and scope of the request, some number of credits will be deducted from a credit account.
One of the main advantages of issue based support is that credits do not expire. And if you apply to the CS-Cart support team not very often, this type of technical support will be extremely convenient for you.

CS-Cart 2.0 Beta is released
We are proud to announce the release of CS-Cart 2.0 Beta!
CS-Cart 2.0 is a significant breakthrough in ecommerce software solutions. It provides a new level of flexibility and freedom of total control.
Version 2.0 is a turning point in CS-Cart development techniques. Here we present a completely different approach to the software architecture and design, and at the same time stick to the rules of simplicity and usability.

CS-Cart 2.0 Beta is to be used only under new terms and conditions. The main conditions are:
1. CS-Cart 2.0 Beta should be used for evaluation purposes and is not recommended for production environments. This version is for personal use only. It is strictly prohibited to pass CS-Cart 2.0 Beta to a third party for any purpose.
2. CS-Cart 2.0 Beta can be used only until the stable version of CS-Cart 2.0 is released. After that, it is necessary either to purchase a CS-Cart license for the domain where CS-Cart 2.0 Beta is installed or delete all the copies of the software.
An e-mail notification about the official release of the stable CS-Cart 2.0 will be sent to those who downloaded the Beta version from our website.
3. All data stored in the database of CS-Cart 2.0 Beta can be moved to a stable version after its release (a special tool will be provided for this purpose). No upgrade will be available for source code and design changes.

Service pack 4 for CS-Cart 1.3.5 is released
We are glad to announce the release of CS-Cart 1.3.5. SP4.
CS-Cart is now certified with Google Checkout and integrated with the Total Web Solutions payment processor. A lot of minor improvements have been made as well.
Moreover, this service pack fixes issues and bugs discovered since the previous update.

All CS-Cart services are up again
Our website (www.cs-cart.com) and related services have been temporarily unavailable due to the fire in the data center of our hosting provider. As instructed by the fire department, they were required to take down all generators, so all servers were down. It happened on May 31 at approximately 5:45 p.m.
Now the damage has already been repaired and all the affected services have been restored. Some e-mails sent during this period may have been lost. If you haven't received any reply to your message, please send it to us again.
We are sorry that this accident has occurred and apologize for any inconveniences.

The Knowledge Base includes answers to your frequently asked general and technical questions as well as instructions, troubleshootings, etc. Currently, there are 170+ articles in the Knowledge Base and it is increasing. We're pleased to announce the release of the all new and improved CS-Cart v1.3.2!
Below find a list of additions to CS-Cart that will be included with this release as an addition to all the available features:
- Discounts/coupons - Discounts are now available globally, by category, by products, or by user.
- Customizable Form Builder (ie. Contact us, Request a quote, etc.)- Option to add unlimited amount of forms for vairous uses, with unlimited form options: text, radio, checkbox ,country, state, email, header(simple text) and delimiter.
- Product options forbidden combinations (exceptions)- Ability to define the product options or option combinations that are not available.

PayPal payment processor is integrated into CS-Cart.
CS-Cart users now have the ability to accept PayPal payments. Setup PayPal to allow your customers to submit payment real-time using PayPal.com. CS-Cart Paypal integration works with both PayPal Personal and PayPal Business accounts!
